Mission Statement
To provide charitable and educational services in the form of quality
shelter and care of homeless, neglected, and/or abused Rottweilers
until proper homes for said animals can be found.
Phoenix
Area Rottweiler Rescue (PARR) is a local IRS-recognized 501(c)(3)
non-profit rescue group dedicated to finding loving, permanent
homes
for rottweilers that have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
Many Rottweilers for one reason or other lose their homes. Some
end
up in shelters awaiting the death sentence, others
wander frightened and alone. There is also a disturbing number
of Rottweilers who are dreadfully mistreated and must be rescued
from
their current owner or caretaker. All
is not lost for many of these distraught dogs. Those who can
be placed in homes are often fostered by dog lovers until a
permanent home can be found for them. Some have been so badly
abused that
the most humane path for them is euthanasia. Many
dogs who have been kicked out of their homes, lost and not
looked for, or removed from an abusive home are very sweet
and loving
animals despite their mistreatment. They have a will to live
that helps them to beat overwhelming odds. Maybe you read about
Ellis, American Dream -- a sweet rottie boy naked from mange,
with severe malnutrition. Or Hope, the 8 month old puppy rescued
comatose, weighing only 13 lbs. Or Firelady. Or Destiny. Or
any of a number of other rotties that were victims of gross
neglect
or abuse who need the help of compassionate people. There
are no full-time rottweiler rescue operations currently in
Arizona. It's hard and painful work, requiring land for kennel
space,
time and money. We at PARR are volunteers, taking dogs into
our homes until we can find their forever families. If you
